It started in a college dorm room. One night, Sanket Sarkar — a student and self-taught ethical hacker — went hunting for security flaws across the internet. He found them in 86 organizations, and did what few would: he reported every single one.

What stayed with him wasn’t the vulnerabilities — it was the silence on the other side. Most of those organizations had no idea how exposed they were, and no way to put a number on it. Money was pouring into security tools, yet almost no one could answer the question a CEO actually asks: how much are we really at risk?

In 2020, that question became a company. Sanket teamed up with Snehanjan Chatterjee, Swarnali Singha and Santosh Jha — operators and engineers who had built at Microsoft, Capgemini and TCS — and founded Teamcognito Solutions on a single conviction: cyber risk belongs on the same table as credit and market risk — quantified, priced in dollars, and owned by the business.

That conviction became QBER — the research that translates technical exposure into board-ready financial risk — and grew into Zeron: the control plane that unifies posture, compliance and vendor risk, and prices it in dollars. Today it serves 45+ regulated enterprises across five countries, built by a team of 36 and growing.

And the frontier keeps moving. As enterprises hand real work to AI agents, those agents become the next thing no one can see, price or control. So we’re building the answer: ZAK, to build and run governed security agents, and agentctl, to discover, govern, secure and audit every AI agent an organization runs — the same idea that started in a dorm room, aimed at a new kind of risk.

The mission hasn’t changed since that night — give every risk owner a single, honest view of their risk, and the means to act on it. Only now, that view extends to the agents acting on their behalf.
